Cancer is such a dirty little word. A dirty little word that can ruin so many happy lives in the blink of an eye. A dirty little word that comes in so many shapes, sizes and colors. A dirty little word that is becoming increasingly common among people today, people in my life, family and friends.
Thanking God that both instances were caught due to other illnesses. Sore throats and radioactive gallbladders are to thank for catching the stage 1 and stage 2 cancers of my loved ones. But what if they never were sick? What if they never knew this killer was lurking in their bodies? How long would they have to live? Even with treatment, stage 4 is serious business and not easily contained.
My heart hurts. A lot right now. You grow up thinking your family is bullet proof, super heros. And to see amazing people, loving people, be struck with this life changing disease is unbearable to watch.
Lots of love and prayers to those who have beat cancer, those who are battling cancer and to the family members of those who have lost the fight.
We will cure it, we will stop it, we will move on.

You also grow up thinking u & ur family r invincible to the world...like u say...one word that changes ur life forever...unfortante really...but "what doesnt kill you, only makes u stronger."
