Rain Rain... You Can Stay

I woke up this morning to an unusually dim lit bedroom. Usually by the time my alarm goes off, the joyful rays of the sun hover over my apartment building and bounce into my window, alerting me that today is going to be yet another wonderful day. Instead, the sun's rays were overpowered by the dark gray clouds that made their way over Virginia today.

Gloomy. Ever so gloomy. But in all honesty, that is how I like my Mondays. I like when it is overcast because this allows me to open the blinds at my desk. Usually the afternoon sun shines directly on my side of the office from 11:00 a.m. until I call it quits. I like to watch the rain, and the tress sway with the wind. I like to watch the grass soak up the much needed water and watch the puddles form on the street... all while getting my tasks accomplished for the day, of course ;)

I wish I could curl up in bed, with a book and a bowl of soup. It's just one of those days ya know?

I absolutely love fall. It's even better in Virginia because it starts later, and last longer than the Mid-Western autumns I am used to.

I have so many wonderful things planned over the next few months, and the excitement is a little more than I can bare at the moment!

- Moving day on Saturday into my very own place... again :)
- Warrior Dash and Philly with some of my favorite people
- The start of volleyball season
- The end of softball season (funny how I didn't like softball in elementary school, and I still don't like it as an adult... it's just a fact of life.)
- Thanksgiving with my wonderful friend Julia and her loving family up in Maryland
- NYC for my 25th birthday with friends to go see Lion King on BROADWAY (I think I am going to make Broadway a birthday tradition, as this will be my 2nd annual trip.)
- Christmas with my mom and dad (the only Christmas in 25 years where we won't all be together.)
- **knock on wood** New Years Eve in CHICAGO?!? That one is still up in the air.

Planning...

-Summer trip to Wyoming to visit my sister and her husband
-Summer trip to Washington state to visit my wonderful cousin and her husband
-Fall trip to Germany... this may possibly have to wait until 2012... I've got time :)
