We were told by the front desk at our hotel that the best place to get a sandwich was Jim's. I remember the place from a trip I took to Philly last year, and remember that it was pretty delicious. I still had to see what all the hype was about with Pat's and Gino's. I declared Gino's the winner, even though they didn't have chopped beef, all the other ingredients were delicious. That is, until we went to Jim's the following night. It tasted just as good as I remembered, and thus, trumped Pat's and Gino's!

Enough about FOOD! Lets talk about the RACE!
I had never in my life ran a 5K before, and the hardest part was the first mile. After that, it was all down hill and I had a wonderful time. I finished the entire course in 42 minutes, which averages about 13 minutes per mile (taking into consideration that there were at least two obstacles every mile, that isn't TOO bad.)
The race is kind of making me think about taking up running, but we'll see about that. I'm sure once it gets really cold outside that idea is going to get shot down real quick.
Hope you enjoy some of the pictures :)

I can't deal with Geno's xenophobic signage. Tony Luke's cheesesteaks are really really good though, too. You should check 'em out next time.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The minute I got into line I was thinking "ummmm... chill on the hate dude" But it was good steak :)
