I am so incredibly fortunate to live in such a unique state. One hour North of me, I have Washington D.C., one hour East of me I have beautiful mountains and two hours south of me I have the beautiful Atlantic Ocean!
Spent my weekend in Virginia Beach with my cousin-in-law. A weekend full of first, including surfing (not very practical while wearing a two piece bikini.)It's really nice to get a change of scenery every once in a while and even nicer to spend days listening to the ocean and dolphin watching. Last summer I was fortunate enough to make my way out to a school of dolphins that were fairly close to shore. Being 5 yards from an animal of that magnitude, and realizing you're pretty much helpless in the dark cold water of the Atlantic, gives you a whole new appreciation for God's creation let me tell you.
I have a jam packed next two weeks and then I'm home for my best friend's wedding and a week of family reunions and days on Lake Michigan.
Family, family, family. That is what I'm looking forward to more than anything. My nephew just turned 1 on Saturday, my one sister and brother in law are moving to Wyoming in the next month or so. I need to get all the family time I can get.
For those of you who have relocated, away from your home towns, what have been the biggest struggle for you?
